ECDE TEACHER NEXGEN ACADEMY – SYOKIMAU 

NexGen Academy is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pre School-Teacher to be part of an innovative integrated school experience.

OUR INSTITUTION
NexGen is an integrated Pre-school & Primary school which was founded in 2013 with two (2) campus Johari and Almasi located in Nairobi – South C. We are elated and blessed with our new development as our 3rd Campus NEXGEN ACADEMY is opening soon in Syokimua.  We provide the foundation and continuous development of academics and spirituality within a loving, joyful and caring environment. Our mission is the development of the Next Generation to explore their potential in all academic, cultural and sporting events while encouraging them in developing a personal faith in God.

RESPONSIBILITIES : ECDE TEACHER

•    Teacher’s role is to develop and foster the appropriate skills and social abilities to enable the optimum development of children, according to age, ability and aptitude.
•    Teacher will assess and record progress and prepare pupils for national tests. Link pupils’ knowledge to earlier learning and develops ways to encourage it further, challenging and inspiring pupils to help them deepen their knowledge and understanding.
•    Ensure the educational development of each child, paying individual attention to each child, monitoring his/her educational progress, and taking appropriate corrective action, as necessary.
•    Lead all activities within the assigned class, prepare lesson plans and outlines in accordance with the curriculum guide lines or requirements of the school.
•    Organize and facilitate play/ learning activities for the learners.
•    Preparing and developing attractive teaching aids.
•    Use variety of activities and instructional methods to motivate and stimulate children’s abilities.
•    Caring and nurturing holistic development.
•    Should have experience of modern teaching practices and use modern technology.
•    Should be great with children and is able to use modern disciplinary methods to direct children in the right way.
•    Possess report writing skills.
•    Should be a team player and cooperate with the fellow co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS: ECDE TEACHER

•    Certificate /Diploma/ Degree in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE)
•    Trained Pre -  Primary Teacher in Kindergarten and CBC . P1 teacher is an added advantage
•    Experience teaching a candidate class in any of the primary level subjects will be of an added advantage.
•    Computer literate & proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
•    At least 1 to 2 years’ experience.
•    TSC Number is a Must.
•    Valid certificate of Good conduct
